lyrics
The old man's honey was gone
And he’d wanted it for a scone
Fingers were pointed and eyebrows were raised
Accusations and insults blazed
“Bzz bzzy bzz”
Said a small voice urgently
And they all turned to see...
A bee
"The honey," said the bee, "belongs to me
And anyone who dares to disagree
Will be stung in the face repeatedly
“Kidding," he continued, raising his (not eyebrows but where his eyebrows would have been if bees had eyebrows, do bees have eyebrows? Its really beside the point...bees can only sting once, we all know that)
So
Said the bee "I made the honey, out of flower and love
Me and the flower were entwined, she fit me like a rubber glove
The honey was our baby, and as far as I'm concerned
This is just as bad as kidnap, and I'd like my child returned"
You can't make accusations of kidnap, without extreme results
And things got rather sticky with all the verbal assaults
However, they came to an equitable agreement because they were all reasonable people (Except for the bee who was in fact a bee but reasonable nonetheless)
They decided to talk to the flower and see what she thought was best.
The flower was a tulip and a beauty it was true
Her voluptuous petals glistened with morning dew
In a husky lustful voice she enquired
"What can I do for you?"
"My love", swooned the bee, ''there's an issue concerning Monday night
These people have our honey; Apparently by legal right”
Said the old man “It is true, I bought the honey from a shop
I purchased it with my money, and I'd like this charade to stop”
Said the flower ‘Now wait a minute
I'm really quite confused
For on the night you speak of,
I was at an art class being a muse”
The bee cried out in angst "But i remember vividly!
Have you had so many bees in you that you don't remember me?
"I'm a flower, what do you expect? the tulip did protest
"it is my nature and my duty to bring bees unto my breast"
And with that the bee took off with a cry
That could be heard through far and wide
But he learned his lesson on that day and never again got so emotionally involved so crippled by fear of dying alone in a bedsit unloved and unwanted in an uncaring and ultimately sadistic universe so desperate to find love at every opportunity
